EastEnders fans mourning the departure of thesp Rob Kazinsky (Sean Slater) at the New Year, will - hopefully - soon have a new hunk to feast their eyes on.
That's according to the BBC One soap's executive producer Diederick Santer, who told the Daily Star of his desire to cast a new male star in the show in 2009.
"I think with Rob gone that we now have a hole in the hunk stakes," Santer told the tabloid.
"And that needs to be filled. I am going to keep my eye out for a sexy new 20-something actor who can spice things up in the Square."
Santer worked overtime to persuade actor Kazinsky to stay with the long-running serial.
He admitted to Digital Spy last year: "I didn't want Rob to leave, and I did try more than once to make him change his mind.
"His work has got better and better, and Sean's become a very important character for the show."
Kazinsky followed in the footsteps of Michael French (David Wicks), Martin Kemp (Steve Owen) and Ross Kemp (Grant Mitchell) as the soap's male totty.
Sean's fiery ways had him in hot water more than once - but female fans adored him.
